About The Role

The Surplus Sales Lead will have primary responsibility for guiding our team through day to day processes. From keeping associates on task while processing alongside them, the ideal candidate will take a big picture approach to keeping the Surplus Sales organized and lead our team to fulfilling daily and weekly goals.

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Plan each day with Surplus Sales Manager to achieve short and long term goals
  • Support the development and implementation of standard work
  • Manage inventory system being sure to add listed products to inventory
  • Review and edit daft listings before passing them along to the Surplus Sales Manager
  • Identify and prioritize potential Surplus Sales items in and from warehouseKeep staff on task, organized and motivated
  • Train staff on testing and photographing standards
  • Product testing and photographing
  • Complete Sales KPI
  • Other tasks as assigned
  • Other Role Responsibilities as Needed
  • Manage all e-commerce platforms including but not limited to customer service functions, discount sales, inventory systems and reporting revenue to accounting departments
  • Review, price and publish listings
  • Supervise Surplus Sales Associate


Desired Skills/Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of e-Commerce experience 
  • Basic understanding of consumer and/or enterprise-level IT hardware
  • Excellent computer/internet experience in working in Windows PC environment a must
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong self-driven, project management, time management, and organization skills
  • Strong demonstration of team skills with a high level of initiative and the ability to work in an environment of rapidly changing priorities
  • Demonstrated experience identifying growth opportunities and execution on initiatives within the surplus marketplace to achieve sales targets
  • Must be a self-starter with strong motivation and desire for continuous learning and improvement
  • Ability to work in a general warehouse environment
